U-Boat Classico 40 Vintage Screws Bezel with the reference 8890 - made in Italy.
Ilvo Fontana, precision instrument specialist, received a prestigious commission from the Italian Navy. He was tasked with designing a new watch for their pilots. This challenge required meeting the Navy's high quality standards and very precise technical specifications, but most importantly, it had to guarantee maximum visibility and reliability in any light or weather conditions. However, unfortunate circumstances at the time did not permit this. In 2000, Italo Fontana, Ilvo's grandson, discovered the precious design drawings, which became his inspiration for the first U-Boat watch.
