From Roman jeweller to watch manufacture
Founded in Rome in 1884, the house of Bulgari grew from a silversmith's workshop on Via Condotti into one of the great names in high jewellery. Bulgari has been making its watches in Switzerland since 1980; today movements, cases and dials are produced in its own manufactures, including Le Sentier in the Vallée de Joux. The combination of Italian design language and Swiss precision remains the hallmark of every Bulgari watch.

The Bulgari Serpenti is the brand's most famous jewellery watch: since the 1940s the snake has coiled around the wrist as a Tubogas bracelet, and today also as the Serpenti Seduttori with faceted links. The Octo Finissimo has set several world records with its ultra-thin calibres, while the Bulgari Bulgari, with the name engraved twice on its bezel, echoes ancient Roman coins.
