What does the name Carrera stand for?

The name goes back to the Carrera Panamericana, one of the most legendary and dangerous road races of the 1950s. Since the 1960s, the Carrera has stood for the classic motor-racing chronograph with a clearly legible dial. Collaborations such as the Porsche models or the Senna edition carry this motorsport DNA forward to this day.

Carrera chronograph or three-hand model – what is the difference?

The chronograph is the heart of the line – from the 39 mm automatic chronograph to the 44 mm Extreme Sport models, topped by tourbillon and split-seconds versions. If you prefer something simpler, go for a three-hand model: the Calibre 5 in 39 mm, the Calibre 7 with date in 36 mm or the Day-Date models in 41 mm, for example. Looking for the square chronograph icon instead of the round one? Then the Monaco is worth a look.

Which Carrera suits slim wrists – and are there ladies' models?

Yes: the 29 mm Carrera Calibre 9 Ladies is the classic ladies' model, and the 36 mm Calibre 7 as well as the 39 mm chronographs also wear beautifully on slender wrists. For a bolder presence, there are the models from 41 to 45 mm, right up to the Extreme Sport versions.
