Ergonomic and water-resistant: the cushion case

The Averin brings its masculine charm to the wrist with a 41-by-41-millimeter stainless steel case that unites the rarity value of an angular shape with 100 meters of water resistance and a dominant presence. Alongside its complete, refined polish, the curvature of the cushion case catches the eye, allowing an ergonomic fit on the wrist. The latter is reinforced by the perforated leather strap with a red underside, which lends the Averin a sporty note and, thanks to a double folding clasp with two push-pieces, possesses extreme quality.

Like the front, the case back of the Averin is also covered with sapphire crystal and grants a clear view into the automatic chronograph movement UNG-25.S1 (base: Valjoux 7751). A hefty 60 hours of power reserve, a magnetic- and shock-resistant silicon balance spring as well as a significantly improved decoration compared to the base movement characterize this commanding drive. Not only the black relief structure in a carbon look, but also the red chronograph hand and a wealth of complications greet the beholder. The focus of the Union Glashütte is its unique date function, in which the 31 days of the month are arranged in three rows and are each marked by a hand of the correct length (there are three differently long date hands). Added to this is a tricompax layout on the left side, which, alongside a moon phase, includes a 24-hour display with a day-night indicator as well as the chronograph counters (30 minutes, 12 hours).
