In the beginning, the father did undertake the business trips and the son stayed in Le Locle to manage the production. Later, they exchanged the roles. Under the leadership of the son and because the grandson urged them, also the manufacturing of the booming wristwatches was introduced in 1915 and the production of pocket watches was suspended. When the range of manufacture was enhanced by the production of own movements in 1920 the breakthrough was definitely achieved. Unfortunately, also the traditional company Tissot, which then was already famous for extraordinary sports and diving watches, got hit by the quartz crisis and joined the Swatch Group, like many other watch manufacturers did.
