Rolex Sea-Dweller “Single Red” Ref. 126600

Features and technology

The reference 126600 has a 43 mm Oyster case in Oystersteel and a unidirectional rotatable 60-minute bezel with a black Cerachrom insert and platinum-coated numerals. The “Intense black” dial (126600-0002) features the large hands and hour markers that Rolex reserves for its Professional models, along with the red “Sea-Dweller” lettering. The watch is powered by the in-house calibre 3235 with a power reserve of approximately 70 hours and is worn on an Oyster bracelet.

History and distinguishing features

Rolex introduced the 126600 in 2017. At the time, the specialist press highlighted that the watch’s name is printed in bright red, as in earlier times – a colour prized by vintage collectors. “Single Red” is a nickname from the collector scene, not an official Rolex name; it is occasionally also referred to as the “Red Sea-Dweller”. The decisive feature is the red lettering on the steel version 126600: the Rolesor variant 126603 bears its name in yellow and does not count. According to the Rolex catalogue, the 126600 is current (as of 18.06.2026). You will find all other versions on the Rolex Sea-Dweller page, and a related nickname under Rolex Deepsea “James Cameron”.
