(92 items)Already in 1848 the cornerstone for Omega was laid when Louis Brandt started to manufacture valuable pocket watches. As his sons took over the company in 1898 they started to create a pocket watch called Omega which was an extraordinary chronometer.
It was only his sons, who took over the company in 1898, who not only created a truly exceptional timepiece with the Omega pocket watch. With Omega, they also chose an unusual company name. At the time it was good tradition to present the name of the company founder or owner, but the Brandt brothers decided that Omega was a perfect fit. After all, the term also stands metaphorically for accomplishment, and this is what the company has been striving for since its foundation. The aim is absolute precision, perfection and timeless style. The Omega Speedmaster represents exactly this. It was launched in 1957 and immediately became known for its precision, stability, simple usability and good readability. These characteristics even took the Speedmaster to the moon in 1969. Omega Speedmaster celebrates this to this day with watch series such as the Professional Moonwatch or the Moonwatch Co-Axial Chronograph. The original is also honoured as the origin with a model of its own: the Omega Speedmaster ´57.
The Speedmaster impresses with its design
The Omega Speedmaster collection offers a very multifaceted design and, in the form of the Master Chronometer certification, frequently proven precision. For example, the straps and bracelets are made of leather, rubber, stainless steel, yellow, white and rose gold or in bi-colour. The dials are not only available in the classic colours white, black and brown, but also in purple, petrol, with stripes and even with chequered elements. So the Speedmaster meets all the demands on design with ease, but does not fall short in terms of functionality either. The distinctive collection contains innovative luxury timepieces that pay homage to their famous ancestor and yet are ready to write a completely new history of their own.

Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional or Speedmaster 38 – which one is right?
The Moonwatch Professional Co-Axial Master Chronometer Chronograph 42 mm is the original with moon-landing history – the Speedmaster that was the first watch worn on the wrist on the moon. The Speedmaster 38 Co-Axial Chronograph brings the chronograph design into a more compact 38 mm case and therefore wears far more discreetly. History and icon status speak for the Moonwatch, versatility on a slimmer wrist for the 38.
Which Speedmaster models are there beyond the classic Moonwatch?
The spectrum is broad: the Speedmaster '57 references the original Speedmaster of 1957, the Racing Co-Axial Master Chronometer 44.25 mm emphasises the line’s motorsport roots, and the Chronoscope 43 mm combines several classic measuring scales on the dial. Added to these are the all-black Moonwatch "Dark Side of the Moon" with a ceramic case as well as collector’s pieces such as the Silver Snoopy Award 50th Anniversary.
Is the Speedmaster also available with a moonphase?
Yes, the Speedmaster Moonwatch Moonphase Chronograph 44.25 mm combines the classic chronograph with a moonphase display – it is hard to imagine a more fitting complication for a moon-landing icon. We carry it in several versions, including as a Co-Axial Master Chronometer in 43 mm.
