No timepiece is a true jack-of-all-trades, yet the new Mühle Glashütte Klassik Lunova Chronograph comes quite close to this ideal: characterized by the elegant polish of its stainless steel case, it combines the practical focus of the Saxon family business with a creative note and sets new standards in terms of legibility.

High-contrast, robust and clean-lined

Responsible for the upscale appearance of the Lunova Chronograph is the detailed finishing of its 42.3-millimeter case. Alternately brushed and polished surfaces create a multifaceted overall picture, while a height of 14.2 millimeters guarantees powerful presence. To match the latter, the chronograph offers 100 meters of water resistance, double anti-reflective sapphire crystal and harmonious proportions, which are complemented by a luxurious crocodile leather strap with an uncomplicated pin buckle. Do you prefer a flatter case with a fully polished surface? Then it is worth taking a closer look at the sister model Mühle Lunova Datum.

The dial is where the outstanding functionality of the Mühle Glashütte Lunova Chronograph comes fully into its own: like the Lunova with day and date display, it scores with a clear weekday and date window at three o'clock as well as a strong contrast between white luminous numerals and a black background. Three subdials with a sunburst finish and orange accents allow the measured times to be grasped in a flash: a 12-hour display at six o'clock, a small seconds at nine o'clock and a 30-minute scale at the upper center.

Precise chronograph with a long tradition

Responsible for the accuracy of the stop function is the automatic Caliber MU 9413, based on the Sellita SW 500-1. Visible through the glass back of the Lunova Chronograph, it holds a stately 48 hours of power reserve and beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour. Typical of Mühle Glashütte, the chronograph receives extensive in-house modification: a swan-neck regulator, a Glashütte three-quarter plate and a Mühle rotor underscore the distinctiveness of the movement. With it, the Mühle Lunova demonstrates over 150 years of passionate craftsmanship that began in a workshop of the precision mechanic Robert Mühle and is continued today by his descendants. Originally specializing in nautical instruments, the company tentatively entered the production of wristwatches in 1995 and developed over the following decades into one of the most popular German manufactures in the mid-price segment.
