Classic Character or Modern Nobility?
Two versions of the Maurice Lacroix Masterpiece Triple Retrograde are available: while a silvered dial with a guilloché "Clous de Paris" pattern, blued hands, and black numerals stands for pure classicism, the anthracite-colored variant with azured Geneva stripes and gold hands provides modern nobility. Both editions of the Triple Retrograde are equipped with three jumping displays: a weekday display at three o'clock, a date above the six, and a second time zone in the upper center. Complemented by a small seconds next to nine o'clock, the scales create a beautiful symmetry and successfully express the technical complexity of the Masterpiece Triple Retrograde.
The Maurice Lacroix Masterpiece draws its energy from an automatic base movement of the Sellita SW200 type, complemented by an in-house module ML291 responsible for realizing the exotic complications. Visually, too, the caliber of the Triple Retrograde has a lot to offer: look through a sapphire crystal case back at rhodium-plated bridges, a transparent rotor with Geneva stripes, and a unique "Tapestry" pattern with several M-logos on the upper side. All versions of the Masterpiece Triple Retrograde feature a 43-millimeter stainless steel case, whose self-confident presence is enhanced by the high-gloss polish of the bezel. Satin-finished elements round off the multifaceted overall picture of the masterpiece, which is water-resistant to up to 100 meters. The Triple Retrograde is fitted to a comfortable calfskin strap with a stainless steel folding clasp and alligator embossing.
