Automatic - a functional instrument at its best

Available in two diameters of 40 and 42 millimeters, the stainless steel case of the Spirit Automatic has a water resistance of 100 meters, outstanding for pilot's watches, and emphasizes its aviation background with a large, screw-down crown. A stepped, polished bezel and predominantly brushed surfaces create a varied look. While anti-reflective sapphire crystal guarantees effortless legibility, the quick-change strap system allows the simple swapping of straps. A solid massive bracelet today, an elegant leather strap tomorrow - the flexibility of the Spirit is impressive. In keeping with the instrumental character of the Automatic models, the case back is closed and protects the self-winding calibers of the timepiece from external influences.

Two options are available: while the Spirit chronographs are fitted with the L688.4 and deliver 66 hours of power reserve, the three-hand models are powered by the L888.4 with up to 72 hours of endurance. All movements are based on long-successful ETA calibers and are awarded a chronometer certificate by the official Swiss testing institute COSC.

Detailed dial in aviator style

The dial of the Longines Spirit Automatic is dominated by large Arabic numerals and a clean aesthetic. Available in the elegant colors of black, blue, and silver, it impresses with a multitude of successful details: not only the external metal ring separating the 60-minute scale, but also the five applied stars and the red tip of the center second hand give the Spirit an upscale appearance. A date window completes the harmonious overall picture of the Spirit. The chronographs of the Swiss series are equipped with a classic tricompax layout including a 30-minute and 12-hour display as well as a small second.
