Junghans Meister Worldtimer
(3 items)In the new Meister Worldtimer, Junghans unites the complexity of a world-time function with the clarity of a harmonious dress watch.
Perfectly symmetrically designed, the instrument draws captivating glances anywhere in the world and allows the simultaneous reading of 24 time zones. Travel the connected globe of the 21st century with a watch that is at home everywhere.
A novelty in its price class
Despite their beauty, worldtimer complications are true rarities in the watch world and are typically found in five- or six-figure price ranges. With the Junghans Meister Worldtimer, the Schramberg-based manufacturer brings the spectacular function within tangible reach and interprets it in an elegant way. Not an overcrowded dial, but a minimalist arrangement of 24 cities as representatives of the respective time zone defines the layout. Amid the lettering of New York, Tokyo and others is a radial opening with a gray hour disc, which together with the classic minute and hour hands allows an instant reading of the international times. At the same time, the division into light (6 a.m. to 6 p.m.) and dark (7 p.m. to 5 a.m.) numerals provides a simple distinction of the respective day and night times.
Elegance down to the last detail
The Worldtimer of the Junghans Meister line can be ordered with a galvanic anthracite, dark blue or matte silver-plated dial. All versions feature noble dauphine hands and domed indices, which match excellently with the curvature of the traditional plexiglass (exchangeable for sapphire crystal on request). The dimensions of the Worldtimer are impressive too: at 40.4 millimeters in diameter, the optionally gold-plated stainless steel case sits confidently on slender as well as larger wrists. Calfskin and solid bracelets are available.
Like the romantic sister model Junghans Meister with calendar function and moon phase, the Meister Worldtimer relies on automatic power; the caliber J820.5 (base: Sellita SW 330-1) delivers 42 hours of power reserve and can be admired through a transparent case back. Do you wish for additional mechanical complexity? The Meister Chronoscope editions are among the most shapely timekeepers of their class.
