He already revolutionized the watchmaking world with the first luxury timepieces he launched: For the first time in history Crocco used caoutchouc and created exquisite watches that attract the eye with a perfect combination of gold and natural rubber. The name "Hublot" (French for "porthole") was given to the watches by MDM Genève since they optically reminded of a porthole with their large, round dial. In May 2014, Interbrand and the Swiss business magazine BILANZ ranked Hublot among the most valuable brands form Switzerland.

By introducing the product line Big Bang in 2005, the rapid rise of the luxury brand continued. The Hublot Big Bang watch was presented at the Baselworld and directly gained much praise and recognition.
