Founded in 1860 in Sonvilier in the Swiss Jura, Chopard was taken over in 1963 by the German jeweler family Scheufele and has since launched numerous innovations such as the dancing diamonds of the Happy Diamonds. Another highlight of the company's history was the St. Moritz series of 1980, which co-president Karl-Friedrich Scheufele designed personally, thereby expressing his enthusiasm for the Alps. The new Chopard Alpine Eagle adopts the flowing case-bracelet design of the St. Moritz and is available in three sizes, each offered in the scratch-resistant Lucent Steel A223 developed especially for the Alpine Eagle or a bicolor variant with 18-karat rose gold.
