Broad spectrum from simple to highly complex
A major strength of the innovative model family lies in the diversity of its price ranges. The entry-level model, the Zenith Defy Classic, enjoys particular popularity. Its forgoing of high-end complications makes it possible to bring the aesthetic features and groundbreaking quality standards of the more elaborate sister models within reach without compromise. In contrast stand the revolutionary collections Defy Inventor and El Primero 21, which shoot beyond all previous limits with frequencies of up to 50 Hz.
The flagships of the Defy turn mechanical dreams into reality: the Zero G series, for example, features a so-called "Gravity Control" module, which enables a permanently horizontal alignment of the regulating organ and thus breathtaking precision values. It is only surpassed by the chronograph movement of the Double Tourbillon series, which has a separate tourbillon escapement for the time display and for the chronograph function. In this respect, too, the collection underscores its future-oriented direction, since alongside the classic materials stainless steel and gold, ultralight titanium and scratch-resistant ceramic are also used.
Included in the price of every Defy: over 150 years of traditional watchmaking history from legendary Le Locle in Switzerland. Here, Georges Favre-Jacot founded the company in 1865 as "Fabrique des Billodes," a name derived from the name of the property. Later, it was renamed Zenith to manifest the perfectionist standards of the manufacture. Today, a star in the dial of every Defy bears witness to this dedication and recalls the rich history of the manufacturer.
